Why

Evlution ENGN combines a number of ingredients to deliver a pre-workout that delivers in providing an energy increase, focus enhancement along with nutrients proven in sports science studies to increase performance, delay fatigue and increase vascularity and pumps. Although it is not high in stimulants its blend makes it a good choice for someone seeking a balanced set of benefits.

When

ENGN should be used before workouts but avoid using late at night. As with all stimulant containing supplements we recommend cycling off this periodically to avoid your body adapting to its effects.

Who

ENGN is a good choice for beginners wanting more than just a mild energy lift as well as those who want a pre-workout with nootropic qualities.

Predator Nutrition ENGN Review

Evlution Nutrition's ENGN (pronounced Engine) is one of the more popular preworkouts released recently and promises a combination of energy, focus, mood support and endurance that makes it an intriguing option for users looking for a preworkout that delivers a wide spectrum of benefits. Does it deliver what it promises though?

Strength and Endurance Complex

ENGN uses some very popular ingredients that help promote increased strength and endurance such as a blend of three Creatines, Beta-Alanine, Betaine Anhydrous and Agmatine Sulfate. Each one of these has been the subject of extensive research proving their ability to enhance strength, power, vascularity, and endurance while in the case of Agmatine also helping with improving nutrient and oxygen delivery to muscles which helps drive greater muscle pumps and endurance.

The only downside is that the dosing of the Creatine and Agmatine is probably less than we would look for but nevertheless you should still expect to notice a benefit from these ingredients when using ENGN.

Mind-Muscle Energy Complex

The second part of ENGN that deserves a closer look is its energy blend incorporating such ingredients as L-Tyrosine, Choline Bitartrate, Caffeine, Huperzine and Alpha-Glycerolphosphorylcholine. Unusually for a preworkout which touts its energy promoting ablities only the Caffeine and L-Tyrosine really act in a stimulating capacity. As a consequence we think that this makes ENGN less of an energy enhancer than most preworkouts around but for users wanting a lift in energy without the jitters associated with high caffeine levels, ENGN still delivers a nice uplift.

The inclusion of Choline Bitartrate, Huperzine and Alpha-GPC helps with improving focus and the mind-muscle connection that helps bodybuilders feel the movements better when training. If you have not used a preworkout with these types of ingredients before you will definitely appreciate ENGN's nootropic benefits.

The Bottom Line on ENGN

Overall, ENGN is a nicely balanced preworkout that is very approachable even for beginners while still offering enough unique qualities to make it viable for advanced users. If you are looking for a high stimulant, balls to the wall type of preworkout though you are better off looking elsewhere.

Depends what you're looking for

Ok for beginners I'd say but if you're used to/looking for a stim powered blast then this won't do much. Taste etc was nice and if you want a subtle pre it's probably a good bet but not for me.
