Why
Beta Alanine is a compound that converts to carnosine, a molecule which has been shown to buffer lactic acid build-up on muscles thus giving you the ability to train harder and for longer. It is also an antioxidant and an anti-aging compound. Studies have shown that beta alanine supplementation can improve moderate to high intensity cardiovascular performance such as sprinting, rowing and jumping.
When
Beta alanine is a perfect compound that is beneficial throughout the year no matter if you are in your bulking or cutting phase it will aid you in improving physical performance both in the gym and in your chosen sport. Carnosine is stored and therefore it is not timing-dependent however, we do recommend to supplement on this compound in conjunction with a meal to reduce the risk of paresthesia (the skin tingling effect which is usually experienced when taking a pre-workout on an empty stomach).
Who
Beta Alanine is suitable for anyone looking to improve physical performance in the gym no matter if you are a beginner in the gym or a professional athlete looking to gain an edge over your opponents. Since beta alanine is mostly abundant in meat products, it is highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians whom do not consume any meat based products.
Predator Nutrition SNS Beta Alanine Review
There are hundreds upon hundreds of compounds in the fitness industry that promise to improve your physical performance either one way or another (and we're not talking about anabolic compounds here). Buy 'this compound' and you'll experience 'this' in performance, get 'that' and you'll be bouncing off the walls for hours without or with very minimal scientific research to back up their statement. And most of the research that is actually available is done in either vitro conditions (experimented on cells/organisms in a test tube in basic terms) or in rodents without any human studies. There are only a handful of ingredients with concrete scientific evidence to support their claims in effectively improving either mental or physical performance.
Beta alanine, the king of muscular endurance
Beta alanine is one of the handful ingredients that improves physical performance which is why it is one of the staple ingredients in nearly all of the pre-workouts on the market today! Although some users despise the compound due to its skin-tingling effects when taken on an empty stomach, it is actually a very effective ingredient that will give you the ability to push your workouts beyond your limits.
What is it, and how does it work?
Beta alanine is actually an altered version of the l-alanine amino acid which converts to carnoside, a molecule that is responsible for a total equilibrium of the pH levels within your body. During physical activity, your muscles become in an acidic state due to a build-up of lactic acid from fatigue and therefore your physical performance rapidly drops. Stored beta alanine buffers the drop of pH levels, slows down the build-up of lactic acid within the muscles and thus reducing physical fatigue giving you the ability to train harder and longer.
Although beta alanine is popular within pre-workout supplements, the timing of ingestion does not matter as the compound itself is stored within the body. The recommended dose is between 2g - 5g daily and we recommend to use it in conjunction with a meal to reduce the risk of paresthesia (skin-tingling feeling which is somewhat uncomfortable and distracting) which is a harmless side effect.
