Why

No Cow Cookies are a great choice of protein cookie for those seeking to keep sugar content down with only 1g of sugar per cookie and 12g of cookie from vegan proteins like brown rice and pea protein. For anyone wanting to cut down on allergens like soy or dairy, this is a good choice of protein cookie.

When

You can enjoy No Cow Cookies pretty much whenever you like, with them ideal for both dieters and those bulking.

Who

Best suited for vegans and those needing a cookie which delivers protein without either gluten, soy or dairy.

Predator Nutrition No Cow Cookie Review

No Cow is a company famous for their first two products, their fluffbutter and, most famously, their No Cow Bars which set a nee benchmark in the field of vegan protein bars by being the first vegan protein bar which provided both a good taste and a high level of protein. Now, with their latest release, No Cow Cookies, the hot American brand seeks to do for cookies what it has already done for bars.

How do No Cow Cookies Measure up Nutritionally?

The protein cookie field is increasinly crowded these days but what we can say is that in general, while cookies have gotten better over time, they still tend to be less nutritionally complete than a protein bar both in terms of generally having less protein and more calories from fats and carbs.

Where No Cow Cookies stand out is that while providing a respectable 12g of protein per 50g cookie, they have managed to deliver this while keeping saturated fats to just 6g per cookie and only 1g of sugar per cookie. This does mean that the cookies contain 7g of sugar alcohols, an ingredient not everyone is fond of due to its tendency to cause gut distress in some people, at least with overconsumption, but this is a compromise that would be worth it in our view if the taste and texture is good.

Taste and Texture Review

Bear in mind there are four flavours of these cookies so we have consolidated our review across the whole range to give you an accurate feel for the cookies (plus it eliminates subjectivity by us liking/not liking particular flavours).

With that said, the Predator team thought the flavours were pretty even as was texture, we would rate these cookies a 7 or 8 out of 10 overall. That makes them a solid option, especially for vegans but perhaps not quite up there with the best in taste.

An Ideal Snack

As a Vegan, it is hard to find good quality protein snacks and you cant get better than these No Cow Cookies. They leave you full enough to carry on with your workout without making you feel guilty about eating them. The taste is fantastic and I don't buy any other snacks for myself apart from these.
