Why

The Oh Yeah One Bar has been so popular it has led to a name change at Oh Yeah Nutrition to One Brands and has now espoused a new bar which retains the high quality protein source, low sugar, high fibre characteristics inherent to the One Bar and combined it with an all-natural protein bar in Basix that removes any and all artificial sweeteners, preservatives, sugar alcohols and is even certified gluten free. All this and it still delivers a healthy 20g of protein in each bar.

When

Basix Bars are designed to either be consumed as a snack between meals or to help supplement the protein content of a regular meal. They can be enjoyed both when bulking and dieting thanks to their relatively low calorie and high fibre content which promotes satiation.

Who

Designed to appeal to those wanting a more natural protein bar as well as those seeking to avoid gluten. Despite this, the One Basix bar delivers as a regular protein bar for those wanting a protein bar that only uses high quality protein sources with none of the collagen and soy found in inferior bars.

Predator Nutrition One Basix Bar Review

The he popularity of the Oh Yeah One Bar has grown a lot since its introduction and in its home country of America it is arguably a brand which has displaced the Quest Bar as the choice of consumers wanting a healthy protein bar that makes none of the sacrifices with ingredient quality seen with popular protein bars made in Europe.

Same Quality but Without Artificial Ingredients

The One Basix Bar is the new bar from One Brands that aims to take the One Bar and reposition it for those consumers trying to avoid artificial sweeteners, artificial preservatives and gluten. It also has no sugar alcohols so at least from a health perspective the Basix Bar has few peers as it avoids a lot of the ingredients that cause issues for certain people.

Our major concern with the Basix Bar is that in seeking to make an uber-healthy protein bar, One Brands would have to make sacrifices in other areas and thus doom the Basix Bar to be a clean protein bar but one which is not a hit among bodybuilders and other athletes focused on delivering high levels of premium quality protein. However, our fears were allayed by the fact that the standout characteristics of regular One Bars are retained in the Basix Bar meaning the same 20+ grams of protein per bar from the same premium protein sources used in One Bars of whey isolate and milk protein isolate.

Furthermore, the Basix Bar keeps the sugar content at a negligible level and follows the One Bar in using the sweet tasting fibre Isomalto-Oligosaccharides to provide both the sweetness and texture which makes the original One Bar such a hit.

In short, whether you are an athlete wanting a premium protein bar that is free from junk ingredients like soy and collagen (found in certain popular European brands' protein bars..) or else someone wanting a more natural bar, the One Basix Bar will deliver on both counts.
