Our Top 5 Slam Ball Exercises

1. Slam Ball Burpee – Just as evil as you would expect, perform a normal burpee but jump with the ball above your head, slam the ball down on the floor as hard as you can, do a press up on the ball and then go again, a horrible twist on an already hideous exercise.

2. Seated Twist – Sit on the floor, lean back to engage the core (hardcore version, lean back and get your feet off the floor). Hold the ball in both hands and slowly twist from side to side with the arms outstretched.

3. Oblique throw – you might need a partner for this, if you’re locked down alone then find a wall and use the bounce. Stand upright ball in both hands, keep your core tight, twist and throw the ball to the side, your partner can catch and throw it back or use the lonely wall, repeat on the other side.

4. Slam ball sit up – Take a normal sit up position, but this time hold the slam ball above your head arms outstretched, try not to let the ball come over the midline of your body (keep it above your head) while you perform a sit up. Hardcore version, throw the ball at your partner/a wall at the top of the rep, catch at the bottom.

5. Slam ball press up – Adopt a normal press up position with the ball under one hand, perform a press up then roll the ball across the floor to the other hand, repeat until desired pump is achieved.
