Why

The ergogenic potential of creatine has been extensively researched and has displayed abilities to increase strength levels, increase lean body tissue and enhance recovery from training. Creatine hydrochloride also provides a greater solubility rate compared to other forms of creatine giving it greater oral absorption properties.

When

Creatine hydrochloride is best taken to support lean muscle development. It’s use can support lean bulking or to preserve lean muscle tissue when dieting.

Who

Creatine can be taken by both males and females. It is commonly associated with males who engage in resistance training, but is also beneficial to active females.

Predator Nutrition Con-Cret Review

Con-Cret by ProMera Sports is a creatine based supplement that contains creatine hydrochloride. Each serving contains 750mg of creatine hydrochloride to help push your strength levels through the roof. You can expect to see an increase in your strength and lean muscle tissue and enhanced recovery from training sessions when supplementing with creatine.

Why Choose Creatine Hydrochloride

Supplementing with creatine hydrochloride provides additional benefits to regular creatine. Some individuals experience side effects such as water retention, cramping or bloating, but with creatine hydrochloride there is no such issues. You also don’t need to load/cycle with this form of creatine. The most significant benefit of creatine hydrochloride is its superior aqueous solubility to regular creatine. Studies have displayed creatine hydrochloride to have around a 150mg/ml or greater solubility rate than creatine monohydrate and creatine citrate, giving it greater oral absorption properties.

Creatine

Creatine is a nitrogenous compound that is found naturally within the body and supplies all cells in the body, including muscle cells. Creatine bonds to a phosphate molecule to produce phosphocreatine, recycling Adenoside TriPhosphate or ATP. This also donates a phosphate molecule to ADP to create ATP, the primary source of energy for muscle contractions. The ATP energy system is associated with explosive and rapid short bouts of muscle contractions, so saturating your muscles with creatine will ensure you are able to perform at the best of your ability at the gym.

The International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) position on creatine is that it is the most effective ergogenic nutritional supplement currently available in terms of increasing intense exercise and lean body mass. This statement is echoed by the American Dietetic Association, Dietitians of Canada, and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Research

Creatine has been studied over many disciplines and has displayed the effects of allowing athletes to do more work over leading to greater gains in strength, muscle mass and performance due to improvement in the quantity of training. There is a consensus among the scientific community that creatine supplementation is a highly effective nutritional ergogenic aid that can benefit athletes from a wide range of disciplines as well as individuals engaged in resistance training. Some of the most popular sports where creatine is commonly consumed include: baseball, basketball, football, swimming, wrestling and track and field.

Dosage

The recommended dosage to ensure creatine levels are at peak volume and the muscles are fully saturated is 3-5g. The ingestion of creatine with carbohydrates and protein produces more consistently greater creatine retention in the body than taking creatine alone, but this may be pertinent to after training as you don’t want to be consuming food shortly before commencing a workout. It is also worth mentioning that although creatine is commonly seen as a strength and power supplement for males, some studies suggest that women can also benefit from supplementing with it and don’t see as much gains in strength and muscle mass seen in males.
